The members of the Papuan Past Project at the IPPA 2022 Conference

The members of the Papuan Past Project took part to the 22nd Congress of the Indo-Pacific Prehistory Association (IPPA) 6-12 November 2022, Chiang Mai, Thailand. Nine members of the project were present, including François-Xavier Ricaut, Matthew Leavesley, Forestier Hubert, Brucato Nicolas, Jean-Pierre de Saint-Aubert, Mathilde André, Justin Guibert, Jason Kariwiga and Roxanne Tsang.

  • Lisant V, Pedro N, Cavadas B, André M, Leavesley M, Pereira L, Besnard G, Ricaut FX, N Brucato “Impact of Betel Nut (Areca catechu) on the Human Oral Microbiome in Papua New Guinea” at the session Archaeology of Far-North Sahul: Recent Advances in Archaeology, Biological Anthropology and Environmental History of New Guinea.
  • Forestier Hubert presented  “The Re-Excavation of the Manim Rock Shelter in the Wurup Valley, Western Highland, Papua New Guinea” (co-authored with FX Ricaut, C Apo, J Andu, J Guibert, S Puaud, JP de Saint-Aubert, J Muke, A Kuaso, and M Leavesley) at the session Archaeology of Far-North Sahul: Recent Advances in Archaeology, Biological Anthropology and Environmental History of New Guinea.
