Henry Baills is a prehistorian who completed his Ph.D thesis in 1991 on the Neolithic in the eastern Pyrenees. Since the early 1990s he has specialised in techno-typological studies of complex lithics in the upper Paleolithic in the northern Mediterranean arc (France and Italy). Currently he is an associated researcher in the UMR 7194 at the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle (Paris) and the Via Domitia University (Perpignan). In this capacity, he is participating in the study conducted by Hubert Forestier on the lithic industries of Papua New Guinea and Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Thailand and Laos).
